Katrina Tyrrell, MVB – Chief of Staff
Dr. Tyrrell is a graduate of University College Dublin School of Veterinary Medicine in Dublin, Ireland. Originally from Cape Cod, Massachusetts, Dr. Tyrrell spent her high school time working at Hyannis Animal Hospital as a kennel attendant and veterinary assistant. She continued in this capacity during her undergraduate years at Drew University in Madison, New Jersey, where she majored in Biology and Music. Dr. Tyrrell completed externships at UC Davis, Troytown Equine Hospital in Kildare, Ireland (equine referral medicine and surgery), and MSPCA Angell Memorial (Emergency and Critical Care).
Dr. Tyrrell spent the first 5 years of her veterinary career in a busy rural mixed animal practice where she provided ambulatory equine, bovine, and other large animal services as well as small animal care. She also has a passion for travel and spent some time volunteering in Arusha, Tanzania providing veterinary relief in livestock management. At Finger Lakes Animal Hospital, Dr. Tyrrell provides veterinary care for small ruminants and barnyard pets and also maintains USDA-APHIS veterinary accreditation.
Jill Langston, DVM
Dr. Langston is a 1993 graduate of Colorado State University. Originally from Denver, she has also lived in Texas and Ohio. In the summer of 2012, Dr. Langston and her family landed in the Rochester area. She enjoys getting to know her clients and patients. Dr. Langston believes she and her clients should work as a team to decide the best treatment for their pets. Her primary medical interests include allergic disease, dermatology, and preventive care.
When not working, Dr. Langston loves spending time with her family including her two daughters and their standard poodle Bonnie. She and her husband love to garden, travel, and explore this beautiful area!
Denise Kurtz, DVM
Dr. Kurtz received a Bachelor of Science in Animal Sciences and Biological Sciences from the University of Vermont in 2002 and received a Doctorate of Veterinary Medicine from Iowa State University in 2007.
Dr. Kurtz's veterinary interests include canine and feline internal medicine, soft tissue surgery, and even some exotic animal medicine! She enjoys working not only with cats and dogs, but also potbellied pigs, chickens, rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters and other small mammals. Dr. Kurtz loves working with owners to ensure the best feeding plan and home environment set up to allow these special pets to thrive. She is currently a member of the American Veterinary Medical Association (AVMA), the New York State Veterinary Medical Society (NYSVMS), and also maintains USDA-APHIS veterinary accreditation.
